World wide fan version of Koisuru Fortune Cookie goes official

After a fortunate turn of events, the fan version of Koisuru Fortune Cookie has made it to the AKB48 official youtube channel!

We want to give a huge shout out and thanks again to all that participated. This is definitely a for fans, by fans production! Of course, it would also be really nice if the members themselves saw the video, and it looks like there’s a good chance that will happen with the video posted on AKB48’s official channel.

There are a ton of great-looking fan-made shirts in the video, if you want to find out how to get them, head on over to milk-tee shirts, Selective Hearing’s store, The Young Electric Pop, and our very own New School Kaidan shirt store!

Again, thank you all so much!

EDIT: Sasshi saw our video and liked it!

2ch also has a thread on us!

Again, a HUGE thanks to all of you out there! This could not have happened without the efforts and passion of the fans!

EDIT2: Our video made it into the newspaper and Oricon!

Blast from the past: NSK goes to Washington D.C. for AKB48

March 27th, 2012 was when AKB48 came to the United States for the third time and performed at the Lincoln Theatre. The event was announced only about two weeks prior to the actual date, the concert was free, and a mixed senbatsu was to appear.

I’m getting all kinds of nostalgia right now because Hiro from Selective Hearing wrote a great personal piece on how Maeda Atsuko changed his life around this time last year. He mentions the Washington D.C. trip he took just days after Acchan’s graduation announcement. That was a very important moment for me as well. I felt a whirlwind of emotions, I was stressing about my fandom, trips I had to plan, and goals I had to achieve.
